The portrait process in 4 easy steps
I’m so excited at the opportunity to get you in front of my camera! I think you will love the experience and service I offer. I promise that you will have a blast whether you do this alone or with loved ones. And you will have a beautiful selection of portraits to choose from. I specialize in magazine style portraits and I take pride in creating an experience for my clients — directing & photographing them like the people in magazines.
STEP 1 - Consultation
How do you want to be photographed?
What style of portraits do you like? What clothes do you want to wear? How do you plan on using the images?
We will work together to create a custom plan for your special photo session. I will ask a LOT of questions.
The in person pre-shoot consultation is where we will discuss the overall style for the photoshoot, your wardrobe, getting ready details, and anything else you may wish to include on your session.
This part is so important to take the time and set you up for a successful photo shoot!
STEP 2 -Pro Makeup
The real fun begins!
Professional makeup for your session helps elevate your photo shoot to the next level. I work with the top makeup artists in the area to guarantee your portraits will turn heads!
Pro Makeup will be done in my home photography studio near 96th and Olio area near the Geist Reservoir. (Fishers - McCordsville - Indianapolis). Makeup will take about 1 hour to complete. Arrive with a clean, moisturized face and your hair styled how you wish. We will do fly-away touch ups to your hair after makeup. The photo session will be immediately following.
STEP 3 - Photo Session
Your time to shine
We usually start the day at 9AM or 10AM and you can plan to spend 3 - 4 hours. On the day of the shoot, arrive with your hair ready and makeup will be done in studio. We will review your wardrobe and discuss concepts for the shoot if we have not already determined that in your pre-shoot consultation.
If you are open to it, you will have fun! I will photograph you like we are shooting the cover of a magazine. Don’t worry about the details, I will pose you down to the very last eyelash!
We’ll work together to capture the PERFECT shot!
STEP 4 - Selection
Select your images
Immediately after your session we review the unedited images and you make your selections of the images you LOVE to be edited.
OR I’ll choose the epic shots, do a quick retouch, schedule a separate time to view your images, and make your final image selections.
After editing is completed, your images are delivered to you via online gallery link (or prints are delivered to your home if selected).
What you select is completely up to you. And I mean that. I promise you an amazing experience, beautiful portraits. Choose what you love!

Hi! I’m Lori, a full-service portrait photographer serving the Indianapolis, Indiana area. My home studio is near Geist Reservoir, located in McCordsville, IN. Fishers is across the street to my north and Indianpolis is a block to my left, Fortville and Noblesville is just a short drive away also. My mission is for everyone of all ages, shapes, and sizes to have a great experience during their photo session and walk away with photographs they look and feel amazing in.
I understand the pain of not wanting to be in front of a camera and also the importance of having images that you love and that will last a lifetime. Each of us has our own beauty, and seldom do we see in ourselves what others see. I work to create a unique experience that is yours because I want you to see and accept how beautiful you are.
